How it all began
As a young boy growing up in Campbellsville,Kentucky hunting and fishing was a part of life, however, fishing was my favorite pastime. I can still remember using a cane pole to catch brim from the banks as a child. After I graduated high school I served 22 years in the military which took me not only all over the world, but all over this great country. During that time I was blessed to be able to fish in various waters using literally hundreds of different baits. Something always kept bringing me back to the the old school wooden lures of my childhood. Over the years these became harder and harder to find, I lost the ones I owned, and all but gave up on replacing them. Until one day while in my shop I decided if I couldn't buy one I would just make one. So I went to work cutting out my first wooden bait and from there Creek Candy Lures was born. It wasn't long before I had a coffee can full of blank wooden baits. I had mastered that part, it was the painting that scared me. I have to give tons of credit and thanks to my good friend Mr. Bill Barton for teaching me the art of using the airbrush. After lots of trial and error I have created a handcrafted product that I am proud to share with you today. My goal is to produce a bait that will not only catch fish but that you will be proud to show off to your family and friends.
Here's to tight lines and tall tales,
